As we step into September, many of us feel the shift in seasons. The air is crisper, the days a little shorter, and for some, this time of year marks new beginnings—fresh starts in school, ministry, and personal goals. At the Virginia Association of Christian Coaches (VACC), we believe this month is a reminder of alignment: aligning our purpose, priorities, and plans with God’s will.

A Time to Realign

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” September offers the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves: Am I walking in step with the season God has placed me in?

For Christian coaches, ministers, and leaders, alignment means ensuring that our leadership and service are not fueled by burnout or self-reliance, but by the Spirit of God. When we align with Him, our coaching becomes more impactful, our ministries bear more fruit, and our leadership inspires transformation.

Practical Steps for Leaders This Month

1. Pause for Prayer – Begin each day by inviting God into your schedule, your decisions, and your conversations.

2. Seek Mentorship & Community – Don’t lead in isolation. Lean on fellow believers who can pour wisdom and encouragement into your journey.

3. Steward Your Season – Stewardship is not just about finances; it’s about managing your time, talents, and relationships faithfully.

4. Commit to Growth – Take time this month to sharpen your leadership skills through reading, training, or joining a professional development opportunity.
